<p>Kim Pollard is an expressive figurative artist from British Columbia, Canada.
- In a direct instinctive way she makes the brush translate the essence of her
personality to the canvas. Kim Pollard is, - according to artist Kiff Holland,
a girl with "chops" (talent) and she has instantaneously gained recognition
for her works. Influenced by the Impressionists, Tom Thomson and the Group of
Seven, Kim Pollard listens to the rhythm of her own steps but owing much of
her technical skills, knowledge and development through University studies,
numerous workshops and experimentation. Painting to her creates a bridge of
communication that needs no words, is universal and allows a perception of a
moment in time, to live forever. Kim Pollard was born in 1965 in Vancouver British
Columbia, Canada. She is an Active member of the Federation of Canadian Artists
and is a member of the G-10 life study group, a fellowship of artists that meet
to exercise their visual skills and a forum for thought stimuli and inspiration.
